On his second beer, Tanner showed up and started asking all sorts of questions about Charlene. But Evan wasn’t in the mood to talk about her. Heck he had no idea what was going on with him. “None of your business.”

Tanner gave him a speculative look, not letting Evan’s unfriendly reply bother him. He and Evan were good enough friends that he simply changed the topic. But it was too late, Hannes had overheard them and jumped right into the conversation with a dirty comment about Charlene and her incredible assets – meaning her breasts.

Evan was about to ignore the vile comment, when Hannes followed up his words with a dirty gesture. Within a second, he grabbed the guy by the throat and menaced him, "Don't you dare talk like that about her!"

Hannes responded with an attitude, "Who are you trying to impress with this attack, Armstrong?"

Evan glared at him, increasing the pressure of his hand against Hannes’ throat. That damn Austrian knew how to push all of his buttons. Evan saw through the taunting, but there wasn’t much he could do about it. Not in his red rage. This had always been his worst character trait, whenever someone pushed the right buttons, he lost control and went off like a rocket. He couldn’t stop, if his life depended on it.

Hannes huffed, "I bet you can't win in an honest fight."
